All Good in The Hudd brings some of Huddersfield’s best young entrepreneurs together to take over a shop in Kingsgate shopping centre, Huddersfield this weekend 28-30 May from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Participant Ellie Smith shared her top reasons to drop in.
You can buy something unique
You can buy original artwork, as well as prints, handmade textiles and handmade clothes, as well as turning your favourite vinyl record into a decorative clock.
Ellie Said: “We want the shop to have strong links with Huddersfield, with one-offs that you can’t buy anywhere else.”
You can help promote Huddersfield
Pick up some All Good in the Hudd merchandise, which includes mugs, tote bags and keyrings, all showcasing our shop logo. All designed by the young people involved in the project
Ellie added: “It is extremely important to all of us to show what talent Huddersfield has to offer and to pass on our ‘sense of pride’.
Young people are learning work skills to help them get ahead
Ellie said: “By taking part in the programme we have gained expert knowledge from the training we have received over the past few months, and have been able to put it into practice. By working together, we have been able to design and make products, promote the shop and organise how we are going to use the space, ready for when we open on Saturday 28 May.
You can unleash your inner artist
There will be a Graffiti workshop at the Piazza on Saturday 28 May from 12noon – 4pm.
